Hybrid Test Engine Picture Gallery
Further tests of our new Hybrid Test Engine were conducted in September 2007.
A picture gallery of the thruster test is here, a video of a test is also
available in the Team Starchaser Club area of our website.

HTP First Distillation
For the past few months work we have concentrated on completing a Hydrogen Peroxide
processing facility. On 27 July 2007 Starchaser propulsion engineers started the first
distillation process following completion of the equipment required. A small picture
gallery has been created of this.

Preparations for STORM test firing
A small gallery of pictures from the preparations for the test firing of the STORM

Storm Thrust Frame Installation
The Storm engine thrust frame was installed at the UK test site in early 2006. Such
was the quality and precision of the engineering the installation was completed in
less than half a day.

Storm Thrust Frame Construction
In early 2006 the design and construction of the thrust frame needed for testing of
the Storm Engine was completed. When the Storm engine was test fitted to the frame it
fitted perfectly.

Starchaser Activities March-April 2006
During March and April 2006 the Starchaser Factory hummed with activity. This is a gallery
containing some of the pictures taken. Many more of these pictures are now available in the
Member's Area.

Churchill Mk 2
The Churchill Mk 2 bi-liquid rocket engine developed 3 tonnes of thrust. During the 7 static
test firings it provided crucial data for the design of the Mk 3 engine.

LES (Launch Escape System)
Starchaser are developing a Launch Escape System (LES) to safeguard the lives of their
astronauts during all phases of powered ascent. The LES will therefore protect the crew
from a variety of emergency scenarios befalling the Starchaser 5 rocket booster
